"What is a Regrade?"

Hello.

I am often asked "What is a Regrade?". Nurseries often use different terminology like "A Grade or B Grade" "#1's or #2's" for different levels of their rootstock grading standards. Regrade is a term we came up years ago to best describe our "B grade or #2's".

What are Regrades:

TRECO has one of the highest grading standards in the rootstock nursery industry. Whatever rootstocks that do not meet TRECO’s standards but still meets the United States grading standards, we sell as a “regrade”. These rootstocks may be slightly less rooted or may have a gentle bow to the plant but still quite usable and are sold for 20% less our list price.
